Log time dialog opened from an issue rendered blank

The Log Time dialog opened from the issue actions menu could show an empty body (title and buttons only), most consistently in Safari. The form now renders correctly from both the issue menu and the Time Tracking panel.

Approvals page: "Awaiting you" counter always showed 0

Per-member leave allowance

Give each team member a yearly pool of leave hours, set inline on the Members tab next to rate and capacity. Used and remaining hours show up per member with an at-a-glance status, and the remaining balance — plus an over-budget warning or hard-cap block — appears when requesting time off. Annual leave draws the balance down; set a member to unlimited by leaving it blank.

Approvals page redesign

The list view is compressed to seven focused columns with hours-vs-capacity bars and a third group for submissions waiting on other approvers. Board cards are cleaner and clicking one opens a detail drawer with approve/request-changes actions, approval stage, comment, weekly breakdown, projects and top issues — with arrow-key navigation between submissions. Board columns now show status colors and total hours.

Team dashboard gadgets

Add Timesheets gadgets to any Jira dashboard. Pick a team, period, and metric: hours logged, team compliance, or breakdown by project. The team compliance gadget lets you expand a member to see the issues they logged time on, with status and estimates. Optional auto-refresh keeps the data current.

Rejected timesheets and absences can be resubmitted

After a request was rejected, submitting it again could fail. Rejected requests now reset cleanly and re-enter the approval flow.

Public holiday calendar per team

Each team can now pick a country in Work Schedule settings. Public holidays for the chosen country are automatically excluded from expected hours in compliance and capacity calculations, and are marked in the personal calendar view with the holiday name.

Time-off shows working-day count and marks holidays

Absence rows now show the number of working days the time-off actually consumes (weekends and public holidays subtracted), matching the capacity math. The Time Off calendar highlights public-holiday columns with the holiday name in the day header.

Wide Time Tracking issue panel

A new issue panel showing logged time in a wide layout: a worklog table with date, duration and employee, plus period totals. Opened from the issue panel menu. Unlike the sidebar panel, it uses no compute while closed.

Issue context panel is now configurable and deprecated

The legacy right-sidebar worklog panel can be set to Disabled, All projects, or Selected projects in General Settings. It is disabled by default; the new Time Tracking issue panel is recommended instead.

Redesigned Approvals page with list and board views

New Approvals page with two stat tiles (Awaiting you / In flight), a grouped list view (Needs your decision / Already actioned), and a kanban-style board view with drag-and-drop between Action needed, In review, Changes asked, and Approved lanes. Drag a card to Approved or Changes asked to approve or send back. Filters, sort, and view are saved per user. Workflow button jumps to the team approval policy.

Approved submissions stay visible on the Approvals page

Previously approved timesheets disappeared from the Approvals view for any approver other than the one who approved them. They are now visible to all team approvers, which helps with reconciliation and editing.

Redesigned PDF export for team and personal timesheets

New layout with summary strip, member grouping, weekly fold-down for long periods, and auto orientation. Status field now included.

More fields in timesheet export

Optional columns added: Project Name, Epic Name, Original Estimate, Remaining Estimate. Project and Epic columns renamed to Project Key and Epic Key for clarity.

Partial-day absences

Request time off for a few hours instead of a full day. Tick "Partial day" in Add Absence, pick start and end time, and the absence is logged for that exact duration. Partial-day absences deduct the correct number of hours from planned capacity.

Planned capacity now accounts for approved leaves

Planned capacity on submissions, approvals, team timesheet and team analytics now subtracts approved absences (including half-day absences). Previously it always showed the unadjusted base capacity, making utilization look lower than reality for anyone with approved leave in the period.

Cross-team managers

Give someone manager access to several teams without adding them as a member. Their hours stay out of team totals. Set it up in Jira admin → Timesheets Settings → Cross-team managers.

Hide issues from projects you can't access

If you don't have Jira access to an issue's project, the issue now shows as 'Restricted issue' in timesheets, submissions, and approvals. Hours still count toward totals, but the issue key, summary, project name, and worklog comments are hidden. Before this, a team manager could see issue details from projects they had no permission to see in Jira.

Reworked team settings dialog

Team settings is now organized into sections (Basics, Schedule, Members, Periods, Approvals) with side navigation. Replaces the step-by-step wizard.

Better timesheet exports

Export dialog now has a column selector, date-range presets, and a format picker. Column choices are remembered per page. The app loads faster because PDF and Excel are only fetched when you export to those formats.

Multi-stage approval policy

Configure per-team approval chains for timesheets and absences. Each stage can require any or all approvers (by team role or specific user), with optional self-approval block. Enable per team via the new 'Use multi-stage approval policy' toggle in Team Settings → Workflow. The submission and absence detail views show live approval progress with current-stage indicator and decision history.

Multi-team export

Export timesheets for multiple teams in a single file. On the Team Timesheet export dialog, select the teams you need and download one combined CSV, Excel, or PDF.

Time off self-approval setting

New admin setting to prevent users from approving or rejecting their own time off requests, matching the existing submission self-approval setting.

Issue preview in timesheets

Clicking an issue key in any timesheet now opens the native Jira issue view in a modal overlay instead of navigating away from the page.

Jira API rate limit resilience

All Jira API calls now automatically retry on rate limits (HTTP 429) with exponential backoff, preventing transient failures during high-load periods.

Improved handling of issues with large number of worklogs

Issue context panel no longer times out on issues with 1000+ worklogs. Work log activity tab now loads entries in pages of 25 with a Show more button.

Timesheet missing data for weeks crossing month boundaries

Fixed an issue where Team and Personal timesheets showed no data for days from the previous month when a week spans two months (e.g. Mar 30 - Apr 5 viewed in April). The data fetch range now correctly covers boundary weeks.

Logged hours accumulating incorrectly after multiple entries

Fixed a visual-only bug where logging time on multiple days caused previous days' hours to appear inflated. Deleting a worklog could also make other entries for the same task disappear. Actual data was correct, and the issue resolved on page refresh.

Team timesheet now shows all worklogs for large teams

Fixed an issue where teams with more than 50 members could see incomplete worklog data on the team timesheet. The query was silently limited to 1000 rows. Now all worklogs are fetched correctly.

Team member names and avatars now load correctly

Fixed an issue where up to 60% of team members were displayed as 'Unknown User' due to incomplete responses from the Jira bulk user API. Added proper pagination and request chunking.

Email notifications for timesheet events

Automatic email notifications when timesheets are submitted, approved, or rejected. Team approvers are notified on new submissions, employees on approval/rejection. Period activation and closing reminder notifications included. Configurable via admin settings toggle.

Projects dropdown shows full project names and avatars

Projects filter now displays 'KEY - Name' format with project avatars instead of raw project keys. Applies to team timesheet, reports, and project group headers.

Hierarchical export for all view types

Excel, CSV and PDF exports now preserve the grouping structure (Projects > Issues, Projects > Users, Issue Types, Epics > Issues) with indented rows and group headers instead of a flat list.

PDF export visual improvements

PDF exports now show grid lines, group headers with blue background, empty cells instead of zeros, and proper cell-level indentation for hierarchical views.

Block worklog on full-day absence

New compliance setting to prevent time logging on days with approved full-day leave. Configurable at global and team level. Disabled by default.

Self-approval restriction

New global setting to prevent users from approving or rejecting their own timesheet submissions. When enabled, approve/reject buttons are disabled for own submissions.

Managers and leads can create time off for team members

Team leads and managers can now submit absence requests on behalf of their team members directly from the Time Off and Leave Requests pages.

Absence overlay on timesheets

Approved absences are now shown as hatched cells on personal and team timesheets. Enable via 'Show absences' toggle in the settings gear menu.

Capacity Variance report

New report replacing Compliance. Shows cumulative capacity chart, per-member variance table with status indicators, and PDF export. Supports planning period and user filters.
